GATECRASHES: I CARRY YOUR HEART: SONGS OF LOVE AND JOY

ABOUT:

On Sunday 8th June, to coincide with our production of Abi Morgan’s LOVESONG, SUSANNAH DE WRIXON will present i carry your heart: songs of love and joy, an evening full of nostalgia and romance, song and spoken word, featuring JIM DOHERTY and the DELMAINE STRING QUARTET 

The concert will evoke joy, love and laughter with poetry from Mary Oliver, e.e. cummings, Dorothy Parker, and more. Music will range from the Great American Songbook to original compositions, featuring work from Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Tom Lehrer and many more. 

Joining de Wrixon and Doherty will be the Delmaine String Quartet and Barry Donohue on double bass who will wrap this beautiful jazz sound in a warm blanket of string arrangements

This event has a running time of 75 minutes, with no interval.
