ISPD OPEN CALL: Assistant Sound Designer at the Gate Theatre DublinThis Open Call is for a Sound Designer in the early stages of their career to assist Sinéad Diskin in the creation of the sound and composition design for the Gate’s upcoming presentation of Dancing at Lughnasa by Brian Friel, directed by Caroline Byrne. of GA Deadline: 27th of May 12pm Interviews with selected candidates will take place on 29th / 30th of May — This Open Call is for one Sound Designer in the early stages of their career to assist Sinéad Diskin in the creation of the Sound Design for the Gate’s upcoming production of Dancing at Lughnasa by Brian Friel, directed by Caroline Byrne. The team also includes set and costume design by Chiara Stephenson, lighting design by Paul Keogan and movement by Sue Mythen, plus the cast and the wider production team at the Gate Theatre. The selected candidate will work under the mentorship of Sinéad Diskin and engage with the wider creative team to design the show and deliver it to stage. This will involve sessions with the designer, production and design meetings, rehearsals, previews and opening night. You must be available to be in rehearsals with the Sound Designer at least once per week, and you must be available for the get-in and the entire tech period. You must be from or be able to be based in Dublin to apply for this role. Please note that no accommodation or accommodation costs will be provided. This is a paid role with a remuneration of €3,000.
