Gate Theatre and Deutsche Bank announce partnership

Deutsche Bank to support the award-winning GATEWAYS Previews initiative, providing free tickets to residents of Dublin’s North Inner City

The Gate Theatre is proud to announce a new partnership with Deutsche Bank as part of its GATEWAYS Community Engagement Programme. This partnership will see Deutsche Bank support the GATEWAYS Previews initiative which provides 200 free tickets to residents of Dublin’s North Inner City for each mainstage Gate production. Since its launch in 2023, 1,700 tickets have been made available as part of the GATEWAYS Previews programme.

This year, Deutsche Bank celebrates its 30th anniversary year in Ireland, and is delighted to support this initiative, which furthers the organisation’s long-term dedication to community, arts and cultural projects. The Gate Theatre and Deutsche Bank share a belief in the transformative power of art and culture, their power to unite and question, open up new perspectives, and provide audiences with unforgettable experiences. They share a sense of civic focus that is anchored by a drive, ambition and passion to make a positive societal impact for generations to come.

This new partnership builds on Deutsche Bank’s existing support of the Gate Theatre through the Gate Circle membership programme.

Speaking about the partnership, Neil Brady, Deutsche Bank’s Chief Country Officer for Ireland said, ‘We are excited to support Gateways Previews, and bring more of Dublin’s community into the theatre. We don’t just want to be a part of communities – we want to play an active role in helping to shape and enrich them. We are pleased to work with the Gate, a like-minded partner towards these goals.’

Gate Theatre Co-CEOs Róisín McBrinn and Colm O’Callaghan added, ‘We are delighted to welcome Deutsche Bank as our Gateways Previews partner. The response from our local community over the past two years to the initiative has been overwhelmingly positive and this new partnership means this vitally important work of opening up the Gate to new audiences can continue.’
