Gate Theatre appoints Senior Producer

Lucy is currently Associate Producer with Once Off Productions, most recently producing Three Sisters at the Gaiety Theatre, and Uncle Vanya, currently running at Smock Alley. Prior to this Lucy spent five years as Director at Smock Alley Theatre.

‘I am absolutely thrilled to be joining The Gate Theatre as senior producer. I have been attending shows at the Gate since I was a child and so it fills me with pride to now become part of the team. My background as a freelance producer and as Director at Smock Alley Theatre will equip me to continue the Gate’s tradition of creating artistic work at the highest level. I look forward to working with Róisín,  Colm and the rest of the fantastic team’ – Lucy Ryan.

Speaking about this appointment Colm O’Callaghan, Gate Theatre Executive Director said,  “Róisín and I are thrilled to welcome a producer of Lucy’s calibre and talent to the Gate team. Lucy brings with her a significant experience of producing Irish theatre, a longstanding connection to our sector, and a deep understanding of how venues and producing houses operate, which will be invaluable to the Gate. We very much look forward to working with Lucy and welcoming her to the Gate in January.”
