Gate Theatre appoints Head of Development

The Gate Theatre is pleased to announce the appointment of Gemma Nolan to the role of Head of Development.

Gemma brings over 15 years’ experience in strategic fundraising and philanthropic partnership development to her new role as Head of Development at the Gate Theatre. She has led major campaigns and secured transformational support for leading cultural and charitable organisations including the Abbey Theatre, Special Olympics Ireland and DCU Educational Trust. With deep expertise in philanthropy, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships and major donor engagement, Gemma has a strong track record of delivering sustainable income growth, cultivating diverse supporter networks and building long-term funding strategies aligned to mission and impact.

At the Gate Theatre, she will lead the development function, strengthening relationships with individual philanthropists, corporate partners and foundations to support the Theatre’s artistic ambition, strategic plan and long-term sustainability. Passionate about the role of culture in shaping society, Gemma is committed to securing the partnerships that enable world-class theatre to thrive and reach new audiences.
