Gate Theatre appoints Head of Marketing & Communications

Derval has been Head of Marketing and Development at DTF for the past six years. She was based in London for ten years after training as an actress in Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. In that decade she was Production Manager with Giudecca Productions, a founding member and casting director with The Faction as well as being part of their rep ensemble for many years. After returning to Dublin in 2014, she established an award winning food business before returning again to work in theatre.

Speaking about this appointment Colm O’Callaghan, Gate Theatre Executive Director said,  “We are thrilled to have Derval join us in this role and as a member of the Gate’s senior management team. Derval’s track record speaks for itself. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience of Irish theatre-going audiences, and a long-standing commitment to the Irish theatre sector. She holds a great passion for the Gate’s history, and indeed its future, which she will have an important role in contributing to, particularly as we build towards the Gate’s centenary in 2028.”
