Past GATE CONVERSATIONS

In February 2025, the Gate Theatre’s production of KING LEAR filmed two special Gate Conversations, featuring Professor Andrew Murphy of Trinity College Dublin and members of our cast.

The first interview features Conleth Hill and Fiona Bell, as they discuss their characters, the script, and the process of understanding Shakespeare.

The second features Jolly Abraham, Emma Dargan-Reid and Eavan Gaffney, as they discuss defining Goneril, Regan and Cordelia, and the role of women in the play.
